    Adjustment to Illness

Psychological factors associated with chronic pain can contribute to the impact it has on your quality of life, relationships, mental health and levels of independence. Talk to our psychologists about managing your pain.

    Stress and Burnout

We all experience stress at different points of our lives. Symptoms of trauma may be overt (clearly identifiable traumatic events), or covert (more subtle and hidden experiences that may not be as readily recognised as traumatic, such as emotional neglect, psychological abuse, ongoing exposure to stress or conflict, or witnessing domestic violence). Both can have a profound and long-term impact on mental and physical health. Support is available from our trauma-informed psychologists.

Even if the don’t know the cause, there are many factors that perpetuate sleep issues and these can be addressed with strategies such as CBT and relaxation. Talk to our psychologists for support.
